Congratulations to all team members of the GK's Team Hector for a very impressive performance at RoboCup German Open this weekend in Magdeburg!!
In the RoboCup Rescue Robot League the overall 1st place was achieved with a total score that was like in an own league way ahead of all other teams.
Furthermore, the Best in Class Autonomy Award was won.
Title: Harnessing Spectral Diversity for Mobile Access in Unlicensed Wireless Networks
When: Wednesday, 24.04.2013, 14:00h
Where: Room S3/20, 111
Title: Autonomous Control and Human Interaction in Multiple Robots Systems
Abstract: This topic of this talk will centered around the recent work of the Autonomous Robotics and Human-Machine Systems group at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in the field of multi-robot system control.
We will have two talks scheduled for our GK meeting, one from Javier López, a newly incoming PhD student, and one from Karen Petersen:
Talk from Javier López:
Title: Development of a modular Kalman Filter based sensor fusion algorithm for air vehicles
Talk from: Tsvetoslava Vateva-Gurova:
Topic: Trust (Dependability & Security) Quantification
The problem statement will emphasise on trust issues in a typical Cloud system model. An approach to establish trust in the Cloud ecosystem upon authentication will be presented. The approach involves negotiation and quantitative aggregation of security parameters.

Title: "Active Intrusion Detection in Self-Organized Wireless Multihop Networks: PhD Plan"
Talk from Thorsten Graber
Title: A model-based Optical Navigation System
When: Wednesday, February 20, 14.00 h
Where: Building S3|20, room 11
Speaker: Prof. Omprakash Gnawali, University of Houston, Texas, USA
Title: On the Repeatibility of Wireless Sensor Network Experiments
Topic: Think Globally, Act Locally: On the Reshaping of Information Potentials

Where: S2 02 | A102
Speaker: Prof. Marco Zúñiga (Delft University of Technology, Netherlands)
At our next GK meeting on Wednesday we will welcome the new year as well as our new GK members with aHappy New Year meeting.
While having some cookies and non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic drinks, we can welcome our new members and get to know each other.
In addition, Prof. Oskar von Stryk will give us general information regarding our GK. As usual, the GK meeting will take place in room A102 in the Piloty building at 15.00 h.
