The ESS and DVS groups are pleased to invite you to a talk by Prof. Danny Hughes on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 3pm in our GK room A102.

 

Title: Next Generation Sensing Systems

Danny Hughes is a professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), where he is a member of the DistriNet (Distributed Systems and Computer Networks) research group and the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) team. Danny has a PhD from Lancaster University, UK and has since performed research at Lancaster University (UK), the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley, USA) and as a lecturer with Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool Univeristy (China). His PhD thesis focused on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems and his postdoctoral research is primarily in the area of middleware support for complex distributed systems, such as Wireless Sensor Networks.
