Implementation of Behaviors for Autonomous Heterogeneous Systems of Vehicles (Dr. Jean-Francois A. Kamath)

Abstract: A major challenge in the mine countermeasures (MCM) community has been efficient search and clearing of areas of operation.  This project has focused on arbitration mechanisms to enable an arbitrary number of autonomous vehicles to cooperatively execute a wide-area search and neutralize mission.  The goal is to develop a set of tools that will improve the speed and efficiency of current operations while reducing the risk to human operators.
