2nd Place for Team Hector at RoboCup German Open

Team Hector Darmstadt successfully participated in the RoboCup German Open Rescue League 2010, which took place in Magdeburg from15th - 18th April.

The RoboCup RescueLeague emerged to one of the standard benchmarks in the field of search and rescue robotics with focus on autonomy and mobility.

Advanced Courses starting

Our Advanced Courses for GKmM's PhD students are starting next week with two days 'Control' and the week after we finish with two courses 'Wireless Sensor Networks'.

See you there ;)

Team Hector arrived in Magdeburg

Team Hector arrived in Magdeburg at the RoboCup German Open and started to set up the rescue robot. The rescue arena is not prepared yet. First tests will be conducted this afternoon. The competition starts tomorrow.

Workshop "Kommunikation, Rhetorik, und Präsentation"

Ich möchte euch noch einmal an unseren Workshop "Kommunikation, Rhetorik, und Präsentation" am

Donnerstag 04.03.2010
10.00 - 17.00 Uhr
im GK-Raum A 102

erinnern und auch noch einmal die assoziierten Mitglieder darauf hinweisen das sie herzlich eingeladen sind.

Workshop at Virginia Tech

The majority of our PIs, PostDocs and PhD students visits Virginia Tech for a joint workshop with Virginia Tech PIs and PhD students.

The workshop will have talks from PIs and PhD students from TUD and VT and serves several purposes like fostering scientific interaction between VT and TUD by bringing together PIs and PhD students in person.

The ones who could not make the travel to the US participate in the workshop via video conference in A102.

Successful annual internal Workshop

In a whole day meeting starting at about 8am in A102 we had the annual internal workshop of the GRK mM with talks of all PhD students in the GRK and affiliated with the GRK.

After work there is fun, so in the evening we had the first GKmM bowling tournament.

Arthur Herzog participated as member in the first face-to-face meeting of the W3C SSN-XG

Arthur Herzog participated as member in the first face-to-face meeting of the W3C Semantic Sensor Network Incubator Group (SSN-XG) in Washington DC. SSN-XG meets weekly in a telephone conference. The main purpose of the face-to-face meeting was to allow the group members to meet in person and to discuss some basic decision for the work of the group.
